We are very proud to see how our former students are playing a huge role in the region’s development.

We had the opportunity to congratulate Juan Camilo Jácome, Class of 2000, on his role as Treasury Secretary of the Atlantic’s Governorship and have him share some of his memories during his time at KCP.

What are some of your best memories or experiences from KCP?

My best experiences in KCP were having teachers who had patience and charisma when I needed help understanding a subject. The guidance through all the years, especially with the election of college and growing up with the same friends that later became family.

How has your KCP experience impacted your life?

KCP taught me to care for my classmates and community, no matter what social class or religion. They taught me that the best gift your parents give you is education.

How did KCP prepare you for your career?

Since we had an American teaching method, it was easier for me when I went to college in the US. I knew the language, the culture, and had the tools to succeed in my career.

What advice would you give KCP students?

To enjoy school and college but to study hard, to experience different cultures, be kind and helpful to all people, and to follow what you enjoy the most.
