Research shows that adults who model children’s reading have a great impact on their motivation to read. This year, The Burton B. Fox Library wishes to invite the entire KCP community, including our staff, to participate in the “Tiger Reading Challenge”. Those who wish to participate should read 25 books during this school year, starting from July, 2019 until June 11, 2020.
To socialize and celebrate the books they are reading, participants will be given a “shelife” – a poster where they can write down the books they are reading. This poster should be proudly displayed in each person’s office so that it can be appreciated by teachers and students alike.
The books you choose are for you to enjoy. (You can take books from the library; we have something for everyone.) We want you to have fun reading!
This is a friendly competition that we hope will end up being an enriching experience for everyone. Winners will celebrate their achievement with a special gift from the library.
Remember that the ultimate goal is to motivate the entire KCP community to read. Let’s be outstanding reading models!
