Online Courses
Online learning is growing worldwide and KCP is pleased to join many of the world’s other top Schools in offering the choice of online course study as an elective option for our High School students. We have chosen to partner with the University of Nebraska High School, one of the few Schools offering a personalized student experience with instructors using technological tools. This is an important point as some online courses use a non-personalized model through “pre-packaged” content and evaluations but with no teacher contact. KCP believes that the active role of a teacher in an online course is necessary to create experiences similar in quality to that found in our School and similar to the type of learning they will experience in their university and future work environments. SAT Preparations
University preparation is critical to future success. KCP students find confidence and earn higher scores with our SAT Preparation Program, offered at a separate cost through Higher Ground Learning. Information is available in the Secondary School office.
Optimal Resource Center (ORC)
KCP’s Blended Learning methodology addresses the needs of most students within the classroom setting. If instructional support is needed beyond what the classroom teacher can reasonably provide, the Counseling Department will assess the situation and possibly recommend admittance to the Optimal Resource Center (ORC). ORC services are available at an additional cost.
The ORC serves students with documented learning differences.ORC staff are trained to provide instructional support for these students. The goal for most ORC students is to learn strategies related to their particular disability, gradually needing less individualized instructional support and eventually working independently in the regular classroom. A few students may require ORC assistance and accommodations throughout their Schooling. Information about the cost of this program is available in the Treasurer’s Office.

Cybrary
In addition to its sizeable print and audiovisual collections, the Burton B. Fox Library provides access to a variety of online resources. Students and teachers receive guidance in conducting research that follows recognized ethical and subject-related guidelines. Through the web-based catalog, students can search for and read books and articles at any time, from any computer with Internet access.
Online Grades
Parents can access their child’s grades for timely support and monitoring of progress.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria service encourages healthy eating habits by offering appealing, balanced meal choices for elementary and secondary students. The daily menus are nutritionist-approved. A variety of options are available for secondary students. At the elementary level the offerings are less complicated and in keeping with the tastes of young children. Students are encouraged to try new dishes in order to appreciate unfamiliar foods and flavors and develop a more mature palate.
Bus Service
Parents can save time, gas and stress with safe and secure bus transportation. KCP provides this service through a highly reliable and experienced company. All vehicles are operated by qualified, trained drivers and are equipped with emergency communication equipment, individual safety seat belts and GPS tracking so parents can always know the location of their child. School staff members serve as bus monitors. Routes make every attempt to conveniently serve general family housing locations.
