BAMUN XVIII is an initiative from Colegio Marymount, where more than 250 students from 12 schools in the region meet to discuss and reflect upon international conflicts and how they affect daily life .
In this version, Bamun’s motto “The power to transcend” tries to encourage participants to cross the established barriers and contribute to the international community by promoting peace and diplomacy.
Through the six Committees, students address issues of great importance such as the war against drug trafficking in Colombia, the situation for women in Asia: a hidden culture of injustice; the global efforts to fight the new era of terrorism or the establishment of Venezuela as a failed state.
Our students did a great job and were awarded the following recognitions:
BEST DELEGATE – DISEC COMMITTEE : ANGELA BAQUERO
BEST DELEGATE – UNDP COMMITTEE : ISABELLA NASSAR
BEST DELEGATE – UNHCT COMMITTEE : ISAAC SALCEDO
