Dr. Seuss Week at KCP was fantastic. Our decoration turned our Elementary Library into Seussville, honoring the themes of Dr. Seuss’s most popular books. Most important of all were the smiles on the faces of students who were eager to read by themselves the diffendoofer rhymes of Dr. Seuss.
To celebrate this beloved author, we ate green eggs -no ham- and brewed a very greeny-gooey Oobleck pool (while also learning about the Viscosity Law with our Secondary Chemistry teacher ). Students participated in Dr. Seuss Bingos and contests, made “One Fish, Two Fish” Origami, read stories, played Sneetches “Musical Stars”, and much more! Some walked with wacky-silly socks, others wore crazy Seuss hats and others became Seuss-fans from toe to head with beautiful costumes!
“Oh, the places we went to right within the walls of our KCP library!”
