Holocaust Survivor Talks to KCP Students
Today our Secondary Students had the privilege of listening to Mónica Dawidowicz, a Jewish woman who survived the Holocaust as a young child. She shared her life story, sending a message of hope and empowerment, urging children to be the voice that makes the difference. She invited us all to have a real commitment to our world´s many problems by not remaining passive in the face of injustice and to reflect upon the need to protect one another, starting with small actions like standing up against bullying towards classmates.
After her remarks Mr. Levno, our Secondary Principal, led a very productive activity in which students reflected upon and shared 3 main messages they were taking away from the conference.
We would like to once again express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Dawidowicz for sharing her story and life lessons with our community!

Developing Our Student´s Critical Reading Skills
KCP is working alongside the Alberto Merani Foundation, that leads a project called Lectores Competentes 2.0. This project is meant to develop student´s reading comprehension and argumentation skills, thus strengthening their critical reading processes.

Groovy Juniors Bingo 2018
Our Groovy Bingo was a total success! Student’s enthusiasm and commitment resulted in an amazing event with a large turnout, filling out the entire Auditorium and the Foyer.
As is our tradition, the activity was lead by 11th grade students, who displayed exceptional leadership, teamwork and organizational skills and who were completely devoted and on task, both during the event and in the previous planning stages.
This year prizes were particularly interesting, going from Airpods, jewelry and an iPhone 8 to a SmartTV! Families also enjoyed multiple food options, that included burgers from Burget, Dulcerna products and lemonade from Frappe Company.
During our Bingo, we managed to raise $18.983.000, destined to our Housing Project, the core activity from our Community Service Program.

KCP Continues Reinforcing the Responsible Use of Technology
Global trends point to the responsible use of technology to facilitate learning, without it becoming a distraction that could affect student growth. The French government and recently the Colombian, which is currently advancing a bill in this regard, have identified the advantages of banning the use of cell phones in classrooms. Always at the forefront, for almost two years KCP has been implementing a strict policy prohibiting the use of these devices during school hours. The benefits have already been perceived at all levels! #ProudToBeKCP
