Beatriz has received numerous awards in the real estate sector, including the Chairman’s Club Diamond Award for being in the top 0.5% of sales nationwide, the Chairman’s Club Top Producer Award, and the Leading Edge Society BHHS Award, among others. Beatriz shared with us the significant impact KCP had on her life and how it provided her with the tools to excel in her profession.

How has your KCP experience impacted your life and career choices?

I’m truly a product of KCP! I married young and didn’t pursue a formal career, only completing high school. However, looking back, I realize how my time at KCP shaped who I am today. I grew up in a nurturing environment, surrounded by close-knit friendships that felt more like family. This foundation helped build my confidence and self-esteem, allowing me to express myself freely, knowing I would still be accepted. KCP encouraged me to develop ideas and pursue them, unknowingly fostering an entrepreneurial spirit within me.

Starting in the 6th grade, I worked at the school’s coke stand, where I learned to interact with people of all ages, manage my time, stay organized, and multitask. I made it a point to remember everyone’s preferences and always attended to their needs, building connections across the entire school. I also got involved in the Student Council, where I was constantly coming up with ways to raise funds—whether selling candy and flowers for Valentine’s Day or introducing new food options at the Coke Stand. I was also a cheerleader and played various sports, which further broadened my social circle.

Later, at 25, I became the PTA president, where I applied many of the ideas I’d developed at KCP. I initiated a joint venture with a local school supply store, allowing parents to pre-order school supplies before the end of the school year. During the summer, I organized supply packages and PE uniforms with other mothers, earning a 20% profit for the school. We used these funds for special projects and to appreciate the janitors, organizing events and gifts to thank them for their hard work.

What advice would you give KCP students, especially those interested in a career similar to yours in real estate?

My advice is to cherish every moment at school. It’s not just about academics; you’re also learning life lessons that will open doors for you in the future. School is where you learn about right and wrong, trustworthiness, and ethics. At KCP, I developed values that have guided me throughout my life. I built beautiful friendships that I still cherish today. Life is about sharing, and in almost any career, you’ll be working with others. In my real estate career, many of my clients are lifelong friends who know and trust me because of the integrity and values I built, starting at KCP.

What are some of your best memories or experiences from your time at KCP?

There are so many! I especially loved the Student Council elections. We would gather at different houses to make posters, plan giveaways, and have a great time shopping for supplies, decorating, and convincing others to support our candidates. My class was special—we shared everything and spent so much time together, both during and after school. That strong bond still exists today. Even though I moved to the USA over 30 years ago, seeing one of my classmates still fills my heart with joy, and when we catch up, it’s like no time has passed.

What makes you proud to be a member of the KCP Family?

Everything! Being a KCP tiger is like being part of the Dangond family—it’s deeply ingrained in who I am. I’m certain that much of the good I’ve achieved is a direct result of the education I received at KCP. Even though I’ve lived abroad for many years, when I meet a fellow KCP alumnus, I immediately feel a sense of family. It’s been wonderful to attend alumni events and reconnect with lifelong friends.

Links:

LinkedIn

In this edition of Alumni Spotlight, we feature Beatriz Alicia Dangond Navarro, Class of 1982, a Real Estate Advisor at Compass in Florida.
