We are proud to celebrate our alumnus, German Herrera (KCP Class of 1986 and former Commencement Speaker), on being elected Chair of Egon Zehnder, one of the world\u2019s premier leadership advisory firms. He assumed the role on March 1, 2026, following his election by the firm\u2019s worldwide partnership. \u2728<\/p>\n
German\u2019s journey from KCP to global leadership is an inspiring example of excellence, purpose, and lifelong impact. After graduating from Karl C. Parrish, he earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He later served as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company before joining Egon Zehnder in 1998 in Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n
Over nearly three decades at Egon Zehnder, German has built an extraordinary global career. He has helped shape the firm\u2019s presence across markets and leadership practices, including co-leading the Global Family Business Advisory Practice, serving on the Executive Committee and Market Council, leading the U.S. market, and playing a foundational role in opening the firm\u2019s Bogot\u00e1 office.<\/p>\n
His election is especially meaningful as he becomes the first Latinx person to hold this role in the industry, a reflection of his values-driven, inclusive leadership and his deep commitment to helping organizations unlock leadership potential, build high-performing teams, and develop diverse talent.<\/p>\n
