I learned this from my grandfather, his most important Christmas gifts were for his doctors. A phrase I heard made me take action: “Who takes care of those who care for us?” I immediately started looking up how I could help. With my 3D printer I made the visors needed for the Face Shields. As of today, through donations, we have handed to hospitals more than 800 acetate Face Shields, 1,200 cloth face masks, and 72 medical gown kits.

What advice would you give to the KCP community on how they can help given the current situation?

I have learned that one person can make the difference, and you can motivate many others to start helping. If you have a sewing machine at home, learn on YouTube how to make face masks or gowns. There are instructions approved by the CDC on how to make face masks with T-shirts. If you have a 3D printer at home, you can download open source files to make Face Shields or even parts for ventilators when needed at hospitals.

Why are you proud to be KCP?

I am proud of being from KCP because it gave me the foundation that opened an international world for me, and taught me American Way. I remember I enjoyed my school years.
