My experience as a music therapist and early childhood music educator inspired me to start writing bilingual children songs in order to raise my children bilingual. I have now released three bilingual albums and perform for families all over the United States. When I am not teaching, performing or working on new music, I contract for the Department of Mental Health and perform psychological assessments for at-risk children.<\/p>\n<h4>What is your greatest professional or personal achievement to date?<\/h4>\n<p>My greatest professional and personal achievement is being able to find the balance for all the things I love to do: Prioritizing time for my family and myself, in addition to writing music, recording, performing, and contributing to the community as a mental health therapist and educator.<\/p>\n<h4>How did KCP prepare you for your career?<\/h4>\n<p>KCP provided me with excellent bilingual education.<\/p>\n<h4>Why are you proud to be KCP?<\/h4>\n<p>I am proud of the level of education (world history, writing skills, sciences etc.) I received. I am also proud of the supportive friendships it provided me.<\/p>\n<h4>What advice would you give KCP students?<\/h4>\n<p>Practice gratitude. Disconnect from electronics and connect with people. Get out of your comfort zone. Do not compromise your integrity for other&#8217;s approval. Be persistent. Have goals but learn to be flexible.
