Fabian Gomez, Class of 2006

KCP Alumni Profiles, Publications

After graduating from KCP I studied Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Los Andes. I started my professional career at McKinsey & Co, as an Operations & Strategy consultant. Later, I joined Rappi and led the expansion team in Spanish speaking South America (Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Uruguay).

What are you currently doing?

6 Months ago I founded Frubana. A farm-to-restaurant platform that allows restaurants to order fruit & vegetables, that are sourced directly by us from farmers.

What is your greatest professional or personal achievement to date?

I feel very proud of the impact Frubana is having in society. On one side, we can make food cheaper for LatAm, at the same time that farmers have better income.

How did KCP prepare you for your career?

KCP gave me the tools to succeed both in the corporate and entrepreneurial world. The freedom I had as a student to think outside of the box, allowed me to create an execute new ideas.

Why are you proud to be KCP?

I’m proud to be KCP because I was taught to think outside of the box.

What advice would you give KCP students?

If you have an idea (business or other type), don’t plan too much! You learn a lot more by launching it and pivoting from there.
