We had the chance to speak to Pablo about his career and his memories of KCP:
-
How has your KCP experience impacted your life and the choices you have made in your career? I studied Mathematical Economics in the US with a full scholarship. That would not have been possible without the preparation I received at KCP. On a professional level, KCP gave me a solid foundation on which to build. On a personal level, I had teachers who taught me valuable life lessons such as taking pride in our country (Mr. Parra, may he rest in peace) as well as the power of grit and determination (Alvaro Diaz). I also met some of my best friends who have been there for me in the good times and bad times.
-
What advice would you give KCP students, especially those who would like to take a career path similar to yours and become entrepreneurs? Take the leap. Don’t think about it, just do it. While you are in school you can start experimenting with ways to make money (you can buy and sell products, make videos, etc.). Be curious and find out how different businesses work and how they make money. This curiosity will serve you well. Also, become comfortable with failure. You will fail a lot in your journey as an entrepreneur. That does not mean you are a failure. The important thing is that you learn from your mistakes.
-
What are some of your best memories or experiences from your time at KCP? Binationals, Math Olympics, Model UN, listening to Mr. Parra tell us stories about Colombia.
-
What makes you proud to be a member of the KCP Family? The fact we sponsor La Escuela del Bosque, the academic preparation we received, and our exposure to extracurricular activities like Model UN, plays, and Math Olympics.
