Alexa shared some of her memories during her time at KCP.

How has your KCP experience impacted your life today?

Through the English classes at KCP, I fell in love with literature and creative writing. I still remember when Mrs. Farr introduced me to Camus after I asked her for book recommendations during the summer break. I also recall when Mrs. Gallagher gave me my first creative writing assignment. Additionally, I have fond memories of when Mr. Diaz introduced us to Dostoyevsky in his Spanish literature class. Finally, who can forget Mrs. Donado’s read-a-thon contests?

How did KCP prepare you for your career?

KCP taught me English and prepared me for college in the United States, through challenging academic coursework taught by teachers that are brilliant and passionate about what they do. Thanks to that, I was able to determine what I wanted to do in life, and I was given the tools to achieve it.

Why are you proud to be from KCP?

I am proud to be a KCP graduate because it is a top-tier school, and because it truly prepared me for my career.

What advice would you give KCP students?

Attending KCP is a privilege. Not everyone gets the opportunity to graduate from a school like that. Make sure that you take advantage of all that it has to offer so that you will be ready for the highly competitive job market that lies in your future.
