“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss. (“All the Places You Will Go”)
The Burton B. Fox Library’s Annual Book Fair began receiving visitors last Monday, December 3. Taking advantage of this great venue to promote reading habits from early childhood, visitors had the opportunity to buy books at great prices while enjoying the decoration of the “Read Around the World” theme. More than 1,000 books -ranging from wacky fiction to gripping real-life dramas- were exhibited on our custom-made six “continents”.
Many of our books were exclusive titles, not available in stores or other fairs in Colombia. The KCP community truly had their pick of wonderful books! The best-selling book? “Dog Man” by Dav Pilkey, a funny book series about a canine that is part dog, part man and ALL HERO!
We are confident that our Book Fair continued to promote a fascination for books and a love for reading in our students. So, congratulations if you bought a book or two and we wish you the best as you enjoy your reading adventure!
