Our past makes us proud, our future makes us prouder! We can’t stop celebrating! The School will launch an exciting new infrastructure project that will be an ICONIC SYMBOL of the KCP spirit: A STUDENT CENTER with collaborative areas and a brand new air-conditioned cafeteria will be built over a 2.000 sq meter lot, to further provide our students with the best environment to keep building an amazing learning community TOGETHER!

Tell us about the Student Center project!
The new student center project for KCP was conceived as a space that students could enjoy, take pride and could consider as their own. The building has an irregular shaped floor plan that adapts to the surroundings and establishes interactions between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The entire area focuses on a courtyard that brings some of the greenery in the campus into the building and stands as a reminder of the leisurely character for the building. The elevation of the building, recalls the sloped roof shape of existing buildings and anchors the new construction in the past, but the materials and changing geometry put a foot forward and become the shared vision of the future for the school. FInally, the new 750 square meter space will host two main activities: eating and sharing. The air conditioned state-of-the-art dining area (for each individually, elementary and highschool) and kitchen space will be set alongside an innovative student center where kids can study, play and work together.
How has it felt to be back at KCP and take on this amazing new infrastructure project ?
Having the opportunity to work for our school has been an incredible experience. As a former student I remember my days in KCP and feel proud of being part of this community and l wish that younger generations can feel as proud of our school as I do. I sincerely hope this new building helps shape that feeling… This is definitely a great challenge but is also a unique opportunity.
Looking back, what are some of your best memories or experiences from KCP? How has your KCP experience impacted your life today?
I remember fondly some of the classes, my life long friends, sports competitions and extracurricular activities. Being a KCP student is an important part of who I am today and was definitive in giving me tools that have helped me along the way.
Why are you #ProudToBeKC?
Being a KCP student is having the opportunity to shape the world around you.
