In March of 2018, Fabian Gomez, Class of 2006, founded Frubana, a technology company specializing in fruits and vegetables that uses technology to connect farmers with restaurants. The company seeks to make food cheaper in Latin America, at the same time providing farmers with better income.
Fabian works alongside fellow 2006 classmate Andres Perez, who is the logistics leader and part of the founding team.
In just 3 months of operations, Frubana has supplied fruit and vegetables to more than 400 restaurants serving one million dishes. The Company has an accelerated growth rate of 25% a week, and helps reduce food waste to less than 3% compared to a 58% currently wasted in the industry!
